CPC32420 – Certificate III in Plumbing
This qualification provides a trade outcome in plumbing. This course may be available as a 380-hour course for school-based apprentices only, or a 240-hour course for a Statement of Attainment towards CPC32420 Certificate III in Plumbing. School-based apprentices complete the first year of their apprenticeship at school, then they transfer their enrolment to TAFE post-school.
HSC INFORMATION
This is a Board Endorsed Course and therefore has no HSC examination.
UNITS
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in 58 units of competency:
- 43 core units; plus
- 15 elective units.

- CPCPCM2052 Weld mild steel using oxy-acetylene equipment
- CPCPCM2046 Use plumbing hand and power tools
- CPCPCM3023 Fabricate and install non-ferrous pressure piping
- CPCPWT3029 Install water pipe systems
- CPCPFS3031 Fabricate and install fire hydrant and hose reel systems
- CPCPWT3030 Install home fire sprinkler systems
- CPCPWT3021 Set out and install water services
- CPCPWT3022 Install and commission water heating systems and adjust controls and devices
- CPCPWT3028 Install property service
- CPCPWT3025 Install water pump sets
- CPCPIG3021 Set out, install and commission irrigation systems
- CPCPIG3022 Install and commission domestic irrigation pumps
- CPCPWT3020 Connect and install storage tanks to a domestic water supply
